Learning & Development Manager, COGx

Anna Gittens is a Learning and Development Manager at COGx. She collaborates with partner schools to implement programs grounded in the Science of Learning, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with client goals. Anna is an experienced educator, previously teaching in Title 1 schools in DC and Baltimore. She has also designed and led professional development initiatives, mentored student teachers, and developed research-informed schoolwide interventions. Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rochester, as well as a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University, where she was an Urban Teachers Teaching Fellow. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in Mind, Brain, and Teaching. She has global research experience, including South Africa and the Netherlands. Driven by a passion for bridging research and practice, Anna is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to comprehensive and high-quality education while empowering educators to transform learning through evidence-based strategies.
