Bio

Ivana Zacarias worked as an educator and researcher in the Teaching Improvement Programme at the National University of San Martín (Argentina) for almost ten years. During this time, she was directed by Juan Carlos Tedesco, with whom she has also written the book "Pedagogy and democratization of university". She has also co-authored the book "Building good schools: tools for principals", with Dr. Silvina Gvirtz, and counts on other academic and non-academic publications. She has been a consultant for international organizations, companies, and civil society organizations in Argentina and abroad. From the Argentine State, she participated in the construction of the BEC.AR programme (2011-2014) and, between 2016 and 2018, she was Director of Learning Assessment at the Argentine Ministry of Education. Between 2020 and 2022, she worked as a researcher at SUMMA (Chile). She has been awarded many scholarships and grants, among which the Humphrey Fellow / Fulbright at Vanderbilt University (USA) (2019-2019).
