Laura Berdkan
Bio
Laura Berdkan is the UK Partnerships director. She works with schools in the UK to develop an understanding of the science of learning and supports educators to expand their teaching skills to meet a variety of needs through the COGx programs. Laura’s specialisms are neurodiversity and behavioural science and she has experience working with the autistic community and individuals with specific learning needs. Laura has supported both adults and children with a variety of needs to improve both educational outcomes and quality of life. Laura is a mother of four who is passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. She believes that every child can thrive in the right environment with skilled teachers who understand their needs. She has a CACHE level 2 in Early Education and Care, a BSc (Hons) psychology and post graduate certificates in Applied Behavioural Analysis, SCERTS model training (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Support ) and Advanced Autism training. Her experience as a Special Education Teacher, Early Intervention Educator, Behavioural Practitioner and Continuous Improvement Lead made her passionate about creating positive environments that meet the needs of every individual. After completing the COGx programme herself and seeing the positive impact it had on her students she is excited to be able to offer the COGx programmes in the UK for the first time.
