Learning Success

Becoming a Sophisticated Learner

Lifelong learning isn’t optional. We help you optimize that process!

We have translated 1,300+ scientific papers to distill 130 years of research on human learning and partnered with world’s leading experts to develop a world class program that allows you to master the art and science of learning effectively.

Demystify & Master the Science of Learning

The program offers multiple versions which fosters a more tailored and effective learning experience based on your learning needs.

Lifelong Learning

Whether you are advancing your career or climbing the corporate leadership ladder, or a retired individual exploring new interests, becoming a sophisticated learner helps you in every facet.

Middle School

Designed to support young learners (10-14). This program empowers parents or a tutor/teacher working directly with the individual student to teach them how to learn optimally.

College Success

If you are enrolled in high school and college bound or already in college, you are increasingly exposed to greater rigor in your workload and independence in your learning. You were probably never taught how to learn effectively. This course changes that to help you process what you learn with greater ease and efficacy.

Behind the Program: Our Motivation

500 years ago a highly educated person would process 74 GB of information in their lifetime. That is what the average person processes every day now. The World Economic Forum predicts that by 2025, 50% of the world’s workforce will need to reskill or upskill. A Korn-Ferry study forecasts a global talent shortage of 85 million people by 2030, potentially costing $8.5 trillion. Not surprisingly, a global survey conducted by ETS and The Harris Poll revealed that 86% of adults anticipate future jobs to require skills we don’t currently possess. The study firmly establishes that lifelong learning is the top priority for global prosperity.

tailored to your needs...

Lifelong Learning

The Issue: Learning is not optional nor is it limited to schooling or for intellectuals. We process information constantly but are never taught how to do this effectively. Do you wish you could retain and recall information more easily? The ability to sustain our attention, as well as process and recall information affects every aspect of our personal and professional lives. This should not be left to intuition because the most effective ways to process information and not intuitive or well known. Demystify and master the science of learning to optimize your life.

K-12 Students

The issue: Learning is a scientific process, and for students to learn optimally they must be taught. This is true regardless of cognitive abilities and disposition towards learning. Students often use ineffective techniques such as highlighting and re-reading, with limited success. Such strategies are rooted in the misconception about learning. An education is incomplete if we fail to teach students how to learn and failing to teach them how to learn in school causes too many to struggle and become increasingly disengaged. We support school-aged children in partnership with an adult who enrolls in the program and serves as the mentor/coach/teacher to the student, so they can be supported throughout the program.

College Success

How can you enhance your college readiness? By accessing comprehensive support programs that not only prepare you for success in pursuing a 4-year degree but also equip you with the skills needed to thrive in the competitive workforce. Self Regulation & Executive Function

You are expected to pay attention in class, organize the materials and content, and ultimately use it in and out of the classroom. Yet, rarely are we taught to do this effectively or consciously. In fact, research shows that students who have strong metacognition are up to one year ahead of their peers. Discover how to think metacognitively and reflect on your learning. Learn how to determine if the methods you’re using are effective and when to try a different approach.

Navigating AI

How You Learn

COGx facilitators answer questions and lead the live classes and interact with other students on discussion boards and during live classes.

Participants learn from other people’s educational trajectories and share their own prior experiences.

Priming activities prepare students' brains for learning and make it easier to understand the material later on.

Students watch video micro-lessons make the information tangible and relevant.

Students are engaged through creativity and invited to respond in a variety of modes including writing and video.

When studying, the focus is to get information into our brain. Ironically, an effective way to do this is to pull information out of our brain. Students learn how to implement effective study strategies with ease.

Application guides are study guides. Students can print them out or store them on their computer for easy reference.

Students make meaning of what they're learning and understand themselves as a learner through reflection.

COGx Student Testimonial

Learning is a scientific process, and for students to learn optimally they must be taught. This is true regardless of cognitive abilities and disposition towards learning. Failure to do so leaves students relying on ineffective techniques such as highlighting and re-reading, with limited success. Such strategies are rooted in the misconception about learning.
